As I type, Steph is getting her first treatment of Taxol. I was allowed in for her first day, but I don’t think that will be the case moving forward. Really, it’s a nice enough place to take a nap but going at it alone doesn’t seem quite fair.
I think the hardest thing I heard today was when the nurse asked if Steph had been here before. Unfortunately, was her response. It’s just hard to get my head around being back here, the same place we were in the winter of 2016. Many people have said Steph is a strong person, or the strongest they have seen. This is all true, but her response, unfortunately, followed by the nurse’s reaction, was just a challenging few minutes.
Chemo will be two-days, repeated at 3-week intervals. So there will be a lot of down time in the coming weeks.
A long time friend Eric McCallister, was kind enough to take some family photos this weekend. It was a chilly, but beautiful evening on the beach. He is such an amazing photographer. Thank you Eric!
LOVE THE PHOTOS. SO GLAD YOU GOT THEM TAKEN.❤️
What great family pictures!
